_The following paintings are by Shakuntala Patade.Over a period of 30 years she walked through neighborhoods of prostitution where human trafficking took place. Her inspiration is from those sad and scary moments that diminish young girls to a piece of goods. All proceeds from any sale will go straight to "Global Bridges" - a global organization working to bring the healing message of Jesus to both men and women caught in the cycle of the sex trade industry. Most of her paintings revolve around the condition of women and the girl-child. She has done many paintings on sex workers in the growing red light district of Bombay, India. Shakuntala Patade is 78 now and is still painting away. Here is some of her work.
